The theme of this year's Tiny Dances event is: ORBIT.
How does your work reflect theme of ORBIT? Some examples might be: gravity, resistance, recalibration, rotation, fixed point.
All work should be new and designed specifically for this event.
Tiny Dances are designed and performed on a 4' by 4' platform raised 2 feet off the ground. Guidelines for Tiny Dances:
- Most of the work must take place on the platform as there is limited space for work off the platform.
- This performance will be outside in the TCA Sculpture Garden.
- Audience will be seated on all sides.
- Do not include extensive props, sets, set-up or break-down time for your work.
- Time limit: 5 minutes.
- This event will be presented in a public space funded in part by The City of Tempe. As such, we cannot present work that contains nudity, profanity, adult themes or extreme political content.
- There will be a mandatory video Production Showing on April 1, 2026. Notes and possible edits will be given at this time.
